Being able to counter attacks in boxing is a very important skill to have. Here are some drills to help you on your way:

Drill 1: Slip and Counter:  Partner throws a jab Slip the jab to the right (or left) Immediately throw a counter jab-cross

Drill 2: Bob and Weave Counter:  Partner throws a combination (e.g., jab-cross-hook), Bob and weave under the punches
Counter with a hook or uppercut as partner throws the final punch

Drill 3: Parry and Counter: Partner throws a jab or cross, Parry the punch with your glove or arm, Immediately throw a counter punch (e.g., jab, cross, or hook)
Drill 4: Footwork Counter: Partner throws a punch or combination, Use footwork to create distance or angle, Counter with a quick combination (e.g., jab-jab-cross)

Drill 5: Defensive Counter: Partner throws a combination, Defend with a high guard or slip, Counter with a quick punch as partner pauses or recovers

Remember to practice with a partner, focus on proper technique, and gradually increase intensity and speed. It’s also essential to warm up before training and cool down afterwards to prevent injuries.
